SCOG: We've Come This Far By Faith Documentary

In 2023, Sumiton Church of God celebrated 100 years of being in existence with a Centennial Celebration weekend on November 4th and 5th. At the Centennial Celebration Service, there were over 200 singers and musicians from ages 12 to 85 as well as a congregation nearing a thousand in attendance in the sanctuary. This two-part video documents the process that led to the Centennial Celebration, as well as the Celebration itself. This documentary also contains interviews of different members of the Sumiton Church of God that aid in telling the story of how Sumiton Church of God came to be. All of the interviews and b-roll were filmed on an iPhone. Additional video and photography of past services and the Centennial Celebration Services was provided courtesy of the Sumiton Church of God Media Team. Other pictures and videos from the past were provided by members of the church. This documentary was created in Adobe Premiere Pro (Centennial Logo was created by the Sumiton Church of God Media Team and used with permission). A digital copy of the documentary is now part of the archives held by the Dixon Pentecostal Research Center in Cleveland, Tennessee.
